Twemoji for Chrome > Limitations and workarounds This extension should work for 90% of web pages out there, but note the following technical limitations. Limitations: Only replaces emojis that are already available during the initial page load. Emojis added after via ajax, lazy-loading or other scripts will not be affected. Only works if browser is connected to the internet. It pulls emoji data from the internet, so replacement emojis may not appear if you're offline. Also, replacement emojis will not appear when viewing local HTML files. Uses SVG files for the replacement images so may cause issues if your browser has poor support for SVGs. A 2-second delay was added when loading Twemojis in YouTube since YouTube partially adds/pulls/shows content on a on-demand basis. Twemoji for Chrome > Options page Use the Options page to make the changes persist across all browser sessions. The Options page can also reset all settings to their default state. Options that can be updated include:   🙈  Do not run on these sites List sites where you ** do not want ** the extension to load. Sadly, the extension does not play well with some sites and may interfere with specific features or break the layout completely. A few examples include: emoji copy-&-paste sites, messaging web apps, websites with fancy menus, among others. Sites on this list will use the default system emoji instead. Twemoji for Chrome > Floating menu Click the extension icon to access Twemoji options. Use this menu to test how different settings will affect the current page. Click the extension icon again to hide the options. Note that the floating menu may load slowly on large pages containing many emojis.   Size Apply a size multiplier to converted emojis. The formula is CSS-defined orig size × multiplier . Changes appear in real-time. Useful for high-DPI screens where the conversion results in very tiny emoji. Note that this change is temporary and only applies to the current tab. To make the changes persist, set a global size modifier on the Options page . Twemojify! Convert any emojis missed during the initial load. By default, the extension converts all emojis already present during the first load.
